Spider Wing Cleared

I’ve been slacking on the posting. Been having some RL medical stuff come up and I’ve been extremely distracted by it. However, recently I got to see a REAL rogue and the kind of damage it can do, I leveled engineering up to 422, I fished my heart out for some coins and got the Silver in the City achievement, and I picked up my very last recipe from Dalaran, leaving me 14 short of my 160. There’s the tidbits, now on to the good stuff.

wowscrnshot_010609_184430As I mentioned, my group of server hopping guild searching refugees friends recently found a home in the guild Damage Control. Things have been awesome, and all in all I don’t think we’ve ever been so widely accepted before. Everyone seems to be happy and that leaves me a lot more time to worry about myself. Yesterday, was regular raid day for the guild. They’d been doing 1 group for 10 man Naxx. Last night, thanks to the addition of two uber awesome healers, (ahem) we were able to get two off the ground. Group 2, my group, had about half a raid full of nooblets, including myself, to Naxx, but that didn’t stop us. With only one wipe on the last boss in the Spider Wing, we managed to clear them all with EASE even, and started down the plague wing before calling it a night. Tonight the guild has Heroic OS, lets hope we can get him totally on our own.

Veteran of the Wrathgate

Posted in Questing, WoW tagged , , , , at 12:25 am by Andrea

I had thought to do a post on this quest chain, after several guildies approached me on it after I aquired the achievement yesterday. It is an awesome chain, and I recommend that everyone gets a chance to see it. However, I got caught up in piles of homework, so instead, my husband Garen has written out this post for you to enjoy today…. I had orginally taken screen shots to include with this post but after some thought decided it is far better to see it for yourself. There are no spoilers here, all information regarding how to help you with the quest and any lore is listed behind the links, so don’t fear, it will still be awesome for you… so without further ado, Garen’s Comprehensive List for the Quest Chain Veteran of the Wrathgate!

The other day I’m sitting in guild chat while I quest my happy patookus off in Howling Fjord (The most awesome zone in WoW according to my personal opinion), and I see someone in the guild gets an achievement.

[Guild]: Uberwarrior has earned the achievement [Veteran of the Wrathgate].

Hey, I say to myself, I know what that is. So I click it, and I decide to myself, “I want to complete that quest line”.

ANDREA! Let’s go do that epic quest line!

To which she replies, “fine” (She huffed at me at this point).

So, I hit WoWWiki and look up what I gotta do. After digging for almost 45 minutes I come to the conclusion that this is going to suck. But, the epicness of the quest line makes it worth it.

So, Andrea and I sit down figure out where we are at. We had just finished EVERY SINGLE QUEST in Howling Fjord, so we were off to a good start. Now, I won’t tell the entire line by line of how we got to see the end of this epic quest chain, so here it is. In full linkable glory. I hope you enjoy.

Veteran of the Wrathgate

Complete the following series of quest chains in Howling Fjord.

1.       [71] The Clutches of Evil

2.       [71] Mage-Lieutenant Malister

3.       [71] Two Wrongs…

4.       [71] Report to Scout Knowles

5.       [71] Mission: Eternal Flame

6.       [71] Mission: Package Retrieval

7.       [71] Mission: Forsaken Intel

8.       [71] Absholutely… Thish Will Work!

9.       [71] You Tell Him …Hic!

10.     [71] Mission: Plague This!

11.     [71] Operation: Skornful Wrath

12.  Complete these three quests for the Westguard Sergeant:

        [71] Burn Skorn, Burn!

        [71] Gruesome, But Necessary

        [71] Towers of Certain Doom

13.   [72] All Hail the Conqueror of Skorn!

After completing these quests, the following chain opens up in Dragonblight.

1.       [72] Of Traitors and Treason

2.       [72] High Commander Halford Wyrmbane

3.       [72] Naxxramas and the Fall of Wintergarde

4.       [72] Flight of the Wintergarde Defender

5.       [72] Return to the High Commander

6.       [72] Rescue from Town Square &  [72] The Fate of the Dead

7.       [72] Find Durkon!

9.       [73] Secrets of the Scourge

10.     [73] Mystery of the Tome

11.     [73] Understanding the Language of Death

12.     [73] A Righteous Sermon

After completing the Righteous Sermon quest line, you then need to complete the following quest chain. This is also in Dragonblight. Just a warning, the Righteous Sermon is about 8 minutes long, boring, and you just wish that the priest would stop talking. HOWEVER, there are some awesome “Exorcist” references during the sermon itself.

1.       [72] The Demo-gnome

2.       [72] The Search for Slinkin

3.       [72] Leave Nothing to Chance &  [72] The Bleeding Ore &  [72] Not in Our Mine

4.       [72] Understanding the Scourge War Machine

At this point, you have completed the prerequisites for the most UBER-EPIC quest chain thus far. From here on out is the actual Wrathgate quest line.

1.       [73] Into Hostile Territory

2.       [73] Steamtank Surprise

3.       [73] Scattered To The Wind & [73] Breaking Off A Piece

4.       [73] The Chain Gun And You

5.       [73] Plunderbeard Must Be Found!

6.       [73] Plunderbeard’s Journal

7.       [73] Chasing Icestorm: The 7th Legion Front

8.       [73] Chasing Icestorm: Thel’zan’s Phylactery

9.       [73] Finality

10.     [73] An End And A Beginning

11.     [73] To Fordragon Hold!

12.     [74] Audience With The Dragon Queen

13.     [74] Galakrond and the Scourge

14.     [74] On Ruby Wings

15.     [74] Return To Angrathar

16.     [74] Reborn From The Ashes

17.     [74] Fate, Up Against Your Will

18.     [74] A Royal Coup

19.     [74] The Killing Time

20.     [74] The Battle For The Undercity

By the time you hit this point, your jaw will be on the floor, you will be stammering like a fool, and jumping up and down out of sure excitable geekyness.

Of course, you are also now done and have done three things.

1.       You have seen the most EPIC cutscene in the game.

2.       You have invested a few hours into the game that yielded some XP, a little cash, and wasted time while           your parents yell at you to get off that damn computer game and come to dinner.

3.       You got your hands on a fancy little achievement.

Anyways, That’s the quest chain. It’s epic, it’s uber, it’s awesome. It’s done.

Now, go fish up some coins in Dalaran. It’s what all the cool kids are doing.
