Achievement Spam

It was yet another busy week for me and the guildies at <Abyss>. I have two more resets to finish gearing up the guild for the 25 mans we should be doing.  We spent the week taking two groups into Naxx 10. The first group got four bosses down, and the second group got 12. Why did one do so much better than the other? I’m not entirely sure, but I’m gonna guess it was luck of the draw and the route each group choose to take through the instance. I lead the second group and took them down spider first, then plauge, then construct and finally military. The other group started with the military wing. I’d assume that’s part of it. The other part would have been the gear levels of those involved. Our tanks and healers were already geared to begin with, whereas the other group had a healer and a tank that need some more lovin’.

I did spend the day and ran that healer through 6 heroics though, so she’s much better off then she was. Overall just on runs I did, I saw more than 40 upgrades go out to guildies who needed them. Already I can see vast improvement of our DPS. I’m very proud of them for working so hard in only 1 week’s time.

So in between the massive heroics each day and a Naxx group going in daily, I found time to grind out my Argent Dawn rep to net me a title, and then I finished off my gnomer rep for a title there, too. On top of the Naxx achievements I didn’t have, it was a bit of spam this week. Now I’m focusing on Sporggar rep, and then I’ll move on to the other netural to exalted grinds I need for that title, as well. So far, I’m 20 factions into the 40 I’d like to eventually have.

20 Factions, Woot!

20 Factions, Woot!

Finally, as a guild we’re beginning to see what we’ve got, and getting to know each other. We did lose two DC’ers already, but everyone else seems to be going pretty strongly. Theres two or three that are being a little bit stubborn about the gear grind we’re having to do, but otherwise, everyone else seems to be on the same page. So, two more weeks of grinding, and off to 25s we go!

Heroic Nexus

Heroic Nexus

Thats what I’m going to call this. Yesterday was an exhusting day for me. I ended up running three heroics (Violet Hold, The Nexus, and Uteguard Keep) with Lady Jess at my side throwing the heals. (Two healers in a heroic?! You read right, we have the awesome tank and DPS to pull this off, and successfully did so with PuGs. This is a very good option for healers when getting to know how the heroics work.) I also ran three regular runs as well… making for six runs total. Poofnstab hit 73 yesterday as well, and my DK, Darkenedlust, is nearing very close to 64. In terms of WoW it was a very productive day… in terms of my real life? Well, I did get off the couch to have a smoke here and there.

So, all of these runs netted me Revered with the Kirin Tor. Why them first? Well… this little head enchant would be the reason. Now that I’ve netted myself that, I’ll move on to the next rep. Ideally, this would be the Argent Crusade, for this helm and this ring… but since I’ve not gotten their tabbard yet, I’ll work for the Wrymrest Accord. After Argent Crusade, the goal is to work on the Sons of Hodir (whom I also don’t have a tabbard for yet… bad Andrea…. bad bad Andrea.) for their lovely shoulder enchants.

Finally, after many many runs in various regular instances, I got my first upgrade from an instance run… these shoulders… which have now nearly pushed me over the 1700 number on my spell power. Its getting easier and easier to heal but there are some encounters that make me nervous. Hopefully that will fade soon. Until then I’m taking that stripper…. I mean LADY Jess, along for the ride.

Northrend Daily Quest List

Posted in Questing, WoW tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 3:44 am by Andrea

[EDIT] WoWInsider has started a series detailing each of the Wrath Dailies. If you need a little help figuring out what to do, I suggest you check out their on-going series…. Wrath Dailies. [/EDIT]

Dailys have become a signifigant part of WoW questing. Repetable and awesome for earning faction gains, these quests provide a great source of gold and are something most anyone will have to do to get that one item they want. There are many new dailies out there, and I for one, don’t know where to find them all. So here’s a list of dailies, both Alliance and Horde, and where to find them. Quests are listed in order by the Zone’s Level. Starting with Borean Tundra and ending in Icecrown. Scroll through to find your desired level.

This is an incredibly long post and it has taken me over four days to complete, so more information is behind the more tag! (If I have missed a quest, please leave a comment and let me know, so I can add the quest in!)

**PLEASE NOTE**

  • I purposefully did not include the cooking dailies. I have a whole different post for those.
  • Quests done at 80 give gold instead of XP. I have listed both for the quests marked as a level 80 quest. You will recieve 13g23s INSTEAD OF the experience. However, you ALSO recieve your 7g40s reward, making dailies done at level 80 worth 20g63s.
  • Just because a quest is listed as level 80 doesn’t mean you can’t do it sooner. The level indication is for how difficult the quest might be, not the lowest level to accept it. Majority of the quest marked as level 80 require level 77 to obtain.
  • Also the point of this list is to make you aware of the dailies available, what factions they give rep for, and where to find them. The quest name links to a source like thottbot or wowhead. The coords link to the NPCs location, and the faction names link to the faction discriptions/rewards from www.worldofwarcraft.com . All other information was found through heavy research and of course, could be incorrect. This is merely to help you find your way, NOT to tell you what is true or not. With that, please enjoy this Northrend Daily Quest Guide!

Getting on the Ball

Raptor Mount!

Raptor Mount!

Well, it didn’t take long for the guild to jump right into things. I know that they did a Kara a few nights ago, and I got in on a ZG run. We smoked the place, killing all the bosses but skipping a lot of trash. What trash we did kill we pulled en masse. I gave quick reminders on each of the bosses, and all in all it went very smoothly. However, you will not BELIEVE what dropped off the raptor boss. That only took four years to see!

After the ZG run I had to take off for a bit but when I got back they were in SSC. Apparently Hydross and Lurker bit the big one, and they were standing before

Tidwalker Down!

Tidwalker Down!

Tidewalker when I was invited to the raid. Upon joining I listened in on the strat they planned to use, and realized very quickly that the strat being read was for Leo the Blind, not Tidewalker. So I gave a quick run down and off we went. The first attempt was a wipe thanks to me forgetting about the earthquakes, but the second shot was full of total win!

Otherwise I spent the day grinding out some repuation, specifically, with Cenarion Circle. I managed to go from neutral to honored in one shot. Hopefully I can finish that off sooner then later, cause you know, I’ve got some hunters that have been ignored an awful lot lately. Anyways, thats about it for now, I’ll try to keep the UI stuff updated and see about writing up about how I like Beacon of Light or not.
